Some coral can be difficult to identify. Here are a few search tips to help you identify your coral:
-
A possible way to find what the genus or even common name of your coral is to go to the Coral Search page, and search by coral type (SPS, etc.) and color. You may find a listing of a coral identical to yours which provides genus and even common name info.
-
Post a pic of the coral on your local salt water aquarium group and ask.
-
Use the common investigative route of searching Google images for your coral. Coral type (SPS, LPS, etc.) is good to know ahead of time.
